Aleksandra was born in Belgrade, Serbia in April 1977 to a Serbian father and a Croatian mother.
She studied at the Secondary School of Mathematics, then enrolled in the Faculty of International Management in Belgrade.
As a fashion modelshe worked in Paris, Milan and Rome for numerous top fashion houses.
In 1993, she became a member of the Yugoslavian pop group, Models, and spent the next five years touring and producing albums with them.
She returned to modelling in 1998, and by 1999 was signed to major model agencies including Riccardo Gay and Traffic.
For the next four years, Aleksandra was modelling for numerous advertising campaigns. During this time, she was mainly based in Barcelona and Milan.
In 2003, she met Andrey Melnichenko through a mutual friend in the South of France. Two years later, they were married on the Cote D’Azur. They live in Russia.
